What is the B&B Network ?
The B&B Network (BNBN) is a Killarney based Internet Marketing Association for any type of business that offers bed and breakfast accommodation:-
- Bed and Breakfasts
- B&B Family Homes
- Guesthouses & Hotels
- Inns & Pubs
- Travel Lodges & Motels
The BNBN has 3 main purposes:-
- To provide an independent, stable and well funded Internet marketing organisation for the accommodation & hospitality sectors.
- To ensure cost effective & comprehensive Internet marketing that includes website design & hosting for its members and a effective global promotional vehicle (currently over 120 B&B Network websites) on which to promote their businesses.
- To ensure the public and Internet user have an easy to use and easy to find accommodation resource that provides facilities for room enquiries, credit card booking and direct contact by email or phone.
Internet Marketing Skills: To achieve a major presence on the Internet, the knowledge & skills required are many and the cost often beyond the budget of small accommodation businesses. Joining an Internet marketing association, such as the B&B Network, means you can leave the experts to get on with the difficult bits but take advantage of free online training for the posting Last Minute Deals, Special Offers and managing bookings & enquiries.
Strength in Numbers: A collective marketing model is used to provide members with:-
- A major Global Internet presence
- Findability on the World Wide Web
- Support of an experienced marketing team
- Technical support - website maintenance
- Free periodic updates to members websites
- Representation at trade fairs
- Marketing communications & PR
- Online and offline promotion
- Website content management (CMS)
- Internet marketing tools & statistics
By making a shared contribution to these essential costs, the single annual membership subscription provides a level of Internet marketing for accommodation owners that only an experienced team of specialists can provide.
The collective marketing model also allows for every members website, every network website and every webpage to effectively act as a portal or gateway into the network as a whole by linking back to the main website. This strengthens findability in the search engines and enhances the brand name "B&B Network".
Making it all work! For collective marketing to work effectively, it is important that members are treated equally. To achieve this, the display of members accommodation for any given town or region is randomised. Equally, members must follow a simple code of practice in dealing with guests both online and during their stay.
Internet Presence: The B&B Network operates and maintains a growing number of speciality websites globally that are dedicated to the promotion of members and their businesses. We operate a policy of "Be Seen and Be Found"
BE SEEN: We achieve this by the sheer number and diversity of the websites and webpages that make up our network - destination, what's on, regional, national, international, car rental, last minute and special offers. All these include accommodation sections or link to our main websites. (see OUR WEBSITES in the menu above)
BE FOUND: This is achieved by applying attention to website content and using search engine optimisation for our network and our members websites. People use many phrases or search criteria to find accommodation. We research these thoroughly and optimise our websites for key search words that people actually use (as apposed to what we think they use).
CAPTURING TRAFFIC: The secret of success is in the amount of Internet traffic that can be captured (in this case, visitors seeking accommodation). They may see you, find you, use a word or phrase (eg. last minute or late rooms), prefer websites of a particular colour or with simple navigation, be recommended, follow a link, remember your name, receive a email or newsletter, see you on twitter or facebook ..... these all play a part in capturing traffic - that´s Internet marketing and that´s our day job.
